Ultimate Oscillator

Momentumdraws in its own pane

Buying pressure measured across three timeframes at once, blended so a single window's spike can't own the reading.

On this chart: 7 / 14 / 28 periods, weighted 4 : 2 : 1.

What it measures

Larry Williams' answer to the classic oscillator complaint — that a 7-period and a 28-period view of the same tape disagree constantly. It measures buying pressure (close relative to true low) against true range over 7, 14 and 28 periods and blends them 4:2:1, so short-term action leads but cannot overwhelm the longer context.

How to read it

The 30/70 zones apply, reached far less often than on a single-window oscillator — a reading below 30 means all three horizons agree the tape is washed out, which is rarer and correspondingly more meaningful.

Using it on the wheel

The three-window agreement requirement suits the wheel's mixed horizons: a weekly put and a monthly put should not be reading momentum from the same single window. When this oscillator is at an extreme, the condition holds across both horizons at once.

Like everything in this guide, these are descriptions of conditions and reference levels — context for your own decisions, not instructions to trade.
