08bChart Studies

Every study on the chart lives in the Indicators panel, grouped the same way this page is — by what a study tells you, not by where it draws. Open a group to browse it, or type in the panel's search box to jump straight to a study by name. The Active strip at the top of the panel always shows what is currently on the chart.

Each study below gets a one-line summary and a deep dive: what it measures, how to read it, and how it fits selling puts and covered calls on the wheel.

Every overlay names itself in the chart's top-left corner, in the color it draws with. Clicking that name mutes the study — hides it without switching it off — which is how a busy chart stays readable. The Indicators panel marks muted studies so nothing goes missing silently.

Momentum

How fast and how one-sided the recent tape has been. Oversold readings are where put premium gets rich.

RSIown paneMomentum on a 0–100 scale. Below 30 is conventionally called oversold, above 70 overbought — for a put seller, the oversold end is the interesting one.MACDown paneThe gap between two EMAs, plus a signal line and histogram. The histogram crossing zero is a rough marker for momentum changing direction.Stochasticown paneWhere the close sits inside the recent high-low range, 0–100. Reads a pullback's depth against the range rather than against an average.Stoch RSIown paneThe stochastic formula applied to RSI instead of price — where RSI sits inside its own recent range. Faster than either parent.CCIown paneHow far price has strayed from its own average, scaled by its typical deviation. Beyond ±100 marks a statistically unusual excursion.Williams %Rown paneThe stochastic upside-down: 0 to −100, with −80/−20 as the classic zones. Same information, the scale traders who learned on it expect.MFIown paneRSI's arithmetic run on price × volume instead of price alone — momentum that only counts when money actually moved.ROCown panePercent change from N bars ago. The simplest momentum reading there is — and the building block inside half the others.Ultimate Oscillatorown paneBuying pressure measured across three timeframes at once, blended so a single window's spike can't own the reading.TRIXown paneThe percent slope of a triple-smoothed EMA. Three rounds of smoothing filter out everything but the trend's actual bend.Coppock Curveown paneA slow blend of two long rate-of-change readings, designed for spotting major lows. On a daily chart it reads as patient momentum.
